Cancel shipping labels or shipments instantly to avoid unwanted deliveries and charges.
Cancels an existing shipping label or shipment. Provide the carrier name and tracking number to void the label and stop the shipment; the system returns a cancellation confirmation.
Use Case
Use this endpoint when an order changes or is no longer needed. Cancelling the label prevents the package from being shipped and avoids unnecessary charges. Ideal when the sender or recipient address is wrong, an order is duplicated, or items are out of stock.
Required Inputs
- Carrier: Name of the carrier (e.g. UPS, FedEx, DHL).
- Tracking number: The tracking number associated with the label or shipment you want to cancel.
Notes
- Submit one cancellation request per label; multiple labels must be cancelled individually.
- Carriers may impose time limits for cancellation after a label is created. Check the carrier’s policy to ensure you cancel within the allowed window.
- Shipments that have already been picked up or delivered cannot be cancelled.
